This is an important song for me. Recorded on my old Fostex 160 four-channel recorder back in 1996, before I started working with music production in a serious way.
One day I saw an ad in "Musicians Magazine" (Musikermagasinet - a magazine every serious swedish musician/producer should have!) about a competition in which the first prize was an education in music production at SAE ("School of Audio Engineering"). To participate you should send in a recording you had made and describe the production process.
Without thinking about the consequenses I sent "Morristown 96" - and won!
The education was 18 months and would normally have cost 75000kr, so it was a great price, but it also demanded a total replanning of my life. At that time I didn´t have any kids, so I could quit my job and devote myself wholehearted to musicproduction.
After I finished the course I started "Fränne musikproduktion" and "Sonic Art Studio" and since then I have been working more or less with musicproduction.
The song starts with sunrise over Bengali and continues to describe a normal day in Morristown for Mr Walker - "the Phantom"...
