Sonic Art Studio
The Studio has grown constantly from a Fostex 160 portastudio and a Korg Polysix synth in 1992 to the well-equipped studio
of 2015. Today the heart of the studio is the Frost computer that handles most of the audio and an increasing lot of software synthesizers and samplers. I also use quite a lot of hardware, and have also got a collection of guitars, flutes, pipes and some obscure ethnical instruments from around the world. Most of the recording and mixing are made in the studio, but for projects that involve a lot of people or big non-moveable stuff like grand pianos and so on, I have a portable rig that can record up to 16 channels of high resolution audio direct to hard disk. Most of the work I do in the studio is for local talents that come in and want to do a couple of songs, mostly demos. Often I am asked to play and program backgrounds, and then record vocals and mix with the artist. Now and then I do bigger projects that result in full-length CD:s.
